Editorial Policy
How Start Site Now makes money, how we keep that separate from what we recommend, and what we will and will not do for a brand.
Who we are
Start Site Now is an independent site. Our guides and reviews are written for beginners who want to launch a website without paying more than they need to.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored". Commissions never decide which product we recommend or where it appears in a list. Full details: Affiliate Disclosure.
Sponsorships
We accept a small number of sponsorships, only on terms that protect our independence:
- A sponsor pays for our work — testing and writing — not for our verdict.
- A sponsor cannot buy a position, a score or a better review, and does not see the text before it is published.
- Sponsored content is labelled for readers, and sponsored links carry
rel="sponsored". - A sponsor can ask us to remove a listing at any time, but cannot change what we wrote.
- We do not sell links, accept guest posts or exchange links.
Accuracy and updates
Prices and plan details change often. Every price carries the date it was last checked, and we explain what those dates mean on our Methodology page. When we learn that something is wrong, we correct it and update the page’s date.
How we write
Our articles are researched and written by the Start Site Now team. Every price, plan detail and claim is checked against the vendor’s own pages before publication.
